Scicon Sports lenses are not conventional sunglass lenses adapted for cycling. They are purpose-built optical systems engineered specifically for the demands of high-performance riding.

Selected Scicon Sports lenses feature a dual-spherical, decentered geometry built on a Base 8 wraparound curvature, engineered to deliver maximum coverage and enhanced protection while preserving optical precision across the entire lens surface.
High-wrap shield lens designs can introduce image distortion, magnification effects, and peripheral inconsistencies. By carefully controlling lens curvature and optical centering, Scicon Sports minimizes these effects, ensuring a stable, distortion-free image from the center of vision to the far periphery.

NANOTECH™ HYDRO-OLEOPHOBIC COATING
REPELS WATER, OIL AT THE MOLECULAR LEVEL.
NanoTech™ is an advanced surface treatment engineered to repel water, oil, sweat, fingerprints, and dirt at the molecular level. The hydrophobic and oleophobic coating reduces surface contamination, preventing moisture and residues from spreading across the lens. Water beads and sheds more easily, while sweat, oils, and dust are less likely to adhere to the surface. The result is a lens that stays cleaner for longer, is easier to maintain, and preserves optical clarity through rain, sweat, dust, and demanding riding conditions.
ANTI-REFLECTIVE TREATMENT
ELIMINATES DISTRACTING REFLECTIONS.
Light does not come only from the front. Reflections entering from behind can bounce off the inner lens surface, creating visual distractions, reducing contrast, and increasing eye fatigue. Scicon Sports anti-reflective treatment consists of a specialized coating applied to the back surface of the lens, reducing unwanted internal reflections and improving visual comfort in changing light conditions. Scicon Sports Photochromic lenses automatically adapt to these changes by adjusting their tint in response to UV radiation and ambient light intensity. As conditions brighten, the lens darkens. OPTIMIZED VISUAL LIGHT TRANSMISSION

Visible Light Transmission (VLT) indicates the percentage of light that passes through a lens and reaches the eye. Based on its VLT value, each lens is assigned a filter category ranging from 0 to 4, defining its light transmission level and recommended use.
